From what I have heard with the beginning of October, it is officially the beginning of spooky season. Spooky season is the time during fall around Halloween when people begin to think about scary movies, corn mazes, and haunted houses for a good scare. We always recommend a good movie for a fun fall activity, especially as the weather begins to cool down. In the case you want to get out and about here are some of our ideas:
As the leaves change colors, the best way to see the beautiful colors is to take a drive. We especially recommend driving up through the mountains and over Guanella Pass.
The Pumpkin Harvest Festival is also taking place this weekend at Four Mile Historic Park. Some of the activities are riding in a horse drawn carriage, finding the perfect pumpkin, and creating a scarecrow.
If you want something a little spookier this weekend, try the Denver Zombie Crawl. This is the largest zombie event in the world. It will have you laughing and crying all at the same time.
Some other events we recommend are Oktoberfest (for our adults), Fright Fest at Elitch Gardens, Boo at the Zoo, and Pumpkin Fest at the Denver Botanic Gardens. No matter where you go, there is something spooky to enjoy. So grab your pumpkin spice latte or apple cider and enjoy the awesome autumn events the city has to offer.
Happy Spooky Season!
