September often begins the marketing of fall. You can now by pumpkin spice everything and of course the pumpkin spice latte is back at your local Starbucks. But when is it too early for fall? Some prefer to wait for the crisp morning air and for the leaves to change color to accept that the warm weather of summer is gone until spring. Others accept fall the minute school starts and summer has wrapped up. The first day of autumn is not official until September 22. No matter when fall starts for you, here are some great films that are especially enjoyable in the fall.
When Harry Met Sally (1989)- This film includes autumn walks under the leaves in Central Park and unpacks the balance of friendship, love, and more.
Rudy (1993)- What is fall without football and not to mention its beauty displayed on the Notre Dame. It is an uplifting story about a boy who was told he was too small to play college football, but was determined to fulfill his dream.
Dead Poet’s Society (1989)- School uniforms, back to school, and the beautiful yellow leaves scream fall. All about an English teacher who inspires to look at poetry differently, and he challenges them to be authentic in their knowledge and feelings.
Whether pumpkin spice and everything nice season is here for you or not, it is always a good time to relax and enjoy a movie. As the leaves begin to change, grab a blanket and enjoy some fall flicks with friends and maybe even some pumpkin bread.
